During this language trip in Spain, you’ll stay in the historic center of Valencia. You’ll walk past the impressive cathedral, admire the Gothic splendor of La Lonja de la Seda, stroll through the scents and colors of the Mercado Central, and enjoy a refreshing horchata in the traditional horchatería of Santa Catalina, or a glass of Agua de Valencia in one of the cozy cafes in the El Carmen neighborhood. In the El Cabanyal district, not far from the beach, you’ll discover another Valencia: colorful, raw and full of character. Among the fishermen’s houses and street art, you’ll feel the soul of a city that can’t be summarized in a travel guide.

Valencia is also one of the most bicycle-friendly cities in Spain. Thanks to the extensive network of bike paths, including the green route through the old riverbed of the Turia. You’ll move smoothly, safely and relaxed through the city, learning Spanish while cycling, to the rhythm of the city itself.

What does this language trip to Spain include?

This intensive Spanish language course in Valencia consists of 20 hours spread over 5 days, with a morning program (09:30 – 13:30) and an evening program (18:00 – 20:00).

The morning program consists of Spanish lessons on location. You don’t learn from a book, but in the midst of life: at the market, on the street, by the sea, in museums and among the local population. You put Spanish into practice immediately, with assignments that invite speaking, listening and making real connections.

In the evening program, we delve into grammar and communication. Everything you’ve seen, heard or experienced during the day comes back in the lesson. You practice conversation techniques, learn new structures, and immediately apply them in interactive situations. This way, your language skills grow naturally, with pleasure and confidence.

The lessons are given by Débora López Rodríguez, founder of Español Universal, with over 30 years of experience in language education. She lived and studied in Valencia for years, and knows the city inside and out. With her warm, personal and goal-oriented approach, she knows how to transform every lesson into a lasting experience.
