You’ll stay in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, a vibrant and welcoming city where you’ll get to know the real Canarian lifestyle: friendly, relaxed, and full of zest for life, just like the people who live there.

During this trip, you’ll immerse yourself not only in the language but also in the rich culture and history of the island. One of the highlights is our joint visit to the Romería de Tegueste, a traditional folk festival full of music, dance, ox carts, and local costumes, a lively and unique experience where you’ll practice Spanish among the celebrating locals. The famous Carnival of Santa Cruz, one of the largest and most colorful in the world, also reflects how deeply the festive culture is rooted on the island, a tradition that remains palpable throughout the year in the atmosphere and the people.

We’ll go out daily in a private minibus to explore the north of Tenerife. We’ll visit the town of La Candelaria, where the patron saint of the Canary Islands, the Virgen de la Candelaria, is venerated. La Candelaria holds deep cultural significance, both in Christianity and for the original inhabitants of Tenerife, the Guanches, who lived under the leadership of their kings, the Menceyes, before the Spanish conquest. Their impressive bronze statues stand in front of the basilica, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. In La Laguna, a charming colonial town and UNESCO World Heritage site, you’ll discover historic streets full of character and color. We’ll also visit El Teide, where you’ll walk through volcanic landscapes under one of Europe’s clearest skies.

In between, there’s also time for rest and enjoyment. On the golden beach of Las Teresitas, surrounded by palm trees and mountains, you can relax, practice your Spanish, or simply enjoy the Atlantic breeze.

This intensive Spanish language trip to Tenerife includes 25 hours of lessons, spread over 6 days. You’ll follow a morning program (10:00 – 13:00) and an evening program (18:00 – 20:00), alternating at inspiring locations. It’s a complete all-inclusive experience: including language course, a fun cooking workshop, cultural excursions, and all transportation on the island. You’ll stay for 5 nights in a comfortable three-star hotel, including breakfast. Participants arrange their own flights and other meals. The price for this fully organized language trip is €899.00.

The morning program consists of Spanish lessons on location: interactive sessions at markets, squares, and cultural spots in Santa Cruz and at other special locations in the north of the island. You’ll learn Spanish by using it, with real conversations, real situations, and real people.

During the evening program, we delve into grammar and conversation skills, processing everything you’ve experienced during the day into practical exercises and exchanges.

The lessons are given by Débora López Rodríguez, founder of Español Universal, with over 30 years of experience in language education. Her personal, warm approach makes every lesson a lively experience where learning happens naturally.
