During this language trip in Spain, you’ll not only discover the historic heart of Málaga but also explore the authentic neighborhoods outside the center, from creative alleys to fishing villages by the sea.

The cathedral, the Roman theater, the Moorish fortress Alcazaba, La Malagueta beach, the elegant shopping street Calle Larios, and the lively Plaza de la Merced form the backdrop of your learning experience. Of course, we’ll also visit Picasso’s birthplace and the associated museum, which pays tribute to the world-famous artist who was born here. You’ll practice the language in a vibrant environment where culture, history, nature, and daily life come together.

What does this language trip to Spain include?

This intensive Spanish language course in Málaga consists of 20 hours spread over 5 days, with a morning program (09:30 – 13:30) and an evening program (18:00 – 20:00).

The morning program consists of Spanish lessons on location. You don’t learn from a book, but by doing: in places like the Mercado de Atarazanas, where colors, scents, and conversations come together, or during a city walk, on a terrace, or in the park. We also visit the authentic fishing neighborhoods of Pedregalejo and El Palo, where you can still truly experience the atmosphere of old Málaga, both literally and figuratively. In the creative district of Lagunillas, full of street art and local initiatives, you’ll discover how art, language, and community go hand in hand. Each location offers a unique opportunity to apply Spanish in real-life situations.

In the evening program, we delve deeper into grammatical themes, which you immediately apply in conversations and exercises. You build on what you’ve heard and experienced during the day, making the learning process not only more effective but also more personal. Whether it’s verb tenses, expressions, or having short conversations, you learn what you need to truly communicate.

The lessons are taught by Débora López Rodríguez, founder of Español Universal. With Andalusian blood and a deep love for the Mediterranean Sea, she brings the language to life with warmth, energy, and cultural depth. With over 30 years of experience in language education and a personal approach, she knows better than anyone how to learn with pleasure and results.
